Her debut memoir, Hurry Up and Wait: Confessions of a Military Spouse, offers an unfiltered look at the comical, chaotic, and often unseen struggles faced by those who stand beside our service members. Dedicated to breaking the silence around the emotional toll of military life, Emily empowers spouses everywhere to Own Your Voice.

Emily currently resides in North Carolina with her husband, Mike, and their two children. When she’s not writing, she can be found traveling, hiking, fishing, camping, walking her dogs, cooking, or mentoring fellow military spouses. Through her work and daily life, Emily embodies her motto, Own Your Voice, encouraging others to embrace their stories with strength, humor, and honesty.
